I find that Nijiya has most of what I need to make Japanese recipes, so I rarely bother going to Tokyo Central any more. They have pieces of fresh fish and good quality meat, much of it sliced. Their vegetables are in good condition. They also have a surprisingly good selection of nonperishables for such a small store. Finally, they have prepared food, both hot and cold.

It’s like grocery shopping in Japan! All the foods and sashimi (raw sushi fish). Friendly, helpful service. I found Chidori su (vinegar) from Kyoto that my aunt uses to make tsukemono, Japanese pickles

This supermarket is very nicely organized! It is very clean and neat and contains lots of useful Japanese grocery items. The price is also decent. I especially love the varieties of food items in the deli. They are super cheap and really delicious.

Well, we have been coming here for lunches, snacks, and grocery shopping for many years. This supermarket also does catering for large parties. I hosted a large event about three years ago, and ordered about $800 worth of sushi. Everything turned out great. I’m so impressed with how this supermarket is managed.

It is our favorite place to buy sushi and fresh fish. The products are always fresh and of good quality. The staff is friendly, especially Lan. We have been doing our grocery shopping there since 2017 and have gotten to know some of the staff. We met Lan, who works there — she is always nice and helps us find everything we need. We have a great experience shopping at Nijiya Market.
